Some CCL Cruises are Set to Resume August 1, 2020

Carnival Cruise Line plans to resume cruises on Aug. 1, the company announced Monday. Eight of its 27 ships will begin cruising out of ports in Florida and Texas in August, the company said, while all other cruises will remain canceled through at least Aug. 31. The company had previously said it would cancel all cruises through June 26. The first ships to return to cruising will be the Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation from Miami, the Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation from Port Canaveral east of Orlando, and the Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista from Galveston, Texas. Carnival Cruise Line is banning “offensive” clothing on their ships, cracking down on apparel displaying profanity or nudity. The new dress code was implemented in December, per a Facebook post by Carnival brand ambassador John Heald. He noted the cruise line’s FAQ section had been updated to reflect that “items worn during the cruise should not contain any message that may be considered offensive or contain nudity, profanity, sexual innuendo/suggestions. In addition, clothing/accessories should not promote negative ethnic or racial commentary, or hatred or violence in any form.” The cruise line added: “All guests are expected to ensure their clothing and accessories are respectful to fellow guests.” Carnival spokesman Vance Gulliksen told CNN that while Carnival didn’t want to become “the clothing or

Carnival Cruise Lines CHEERS Beverage Program is Changing

Heads up people Carnival Cruise Line has made a change to their CHEERS all-inclusive beverage program that is available on their cruise ships. Carnival’s CHEERS package allows passengers up to 15 alcoholic drinks and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks per day for the price  of $51.95 to $56.95 depending on when it is purchased. Previously, the package allowed for any drink up to $50 in value.  Drinks over $50 each were priced at a 25% discount.  Carnival has made a change and now the CHEERS! package is good for drinks up to $20.  Drinks over $20 will come at a 25% discount. Hurricane Irma Damage Has Indefinitely Closed 4 Cruise Ports

Four popular cruise ports, including the top two ports in 2016,  are closed indefinitely to cruise ships due to damage caused by Hurricane Irma. Since so many of our readers have asked about the different cruise ports in the Caribbean and which ones were affected by the storm, here is a rundown of the cruise ports that are open and closed following the storm.
