JetBlue announced Monday that starting May 4, all customers will be required to wear a face covering during travel. The policy comes after the airline began requiring all crewmembers to wear face coverings while working. JetBlue has modeled its policy on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines that indicate all individuals should wear a face covering in public to help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). “Wearing a face covering isn’t about protecting yourself, it’s about protecting those around you,” said Joanna Geraghty, president and chief operating officer, JetBlue. “This is the new flying etiquette. Onboard, cabin air is well circulated and cleaned through filters every few minutes but this is a shared space where we have to be considerate of

The American Hotel & Lodging Association and Hilton each announced initiatives this week to advance hotel cleanliness and keep guests and employees safe and healthy. The two join Marriott International and Accor, which recently announced cleanliness efforts to combat COVID-19. The AHLA launched Safe Stay, an initiative focused on enhanced hotel cleaning practices, social interactions and workplace protocols to meet the new health and safety challenges and expectations presented by COVID-19. Safe Stay will seek to change hotel industry norms, behaviors and standards to ensure both hotel guests and employees are confident in the cleanliness and safety of hotels once travel resumes. “Every hotel guest and employee should know that their health and safety are our top priority,” said Chip Rogers, president/CEO of AHLA. “Safe

Are you tired of being quarantined? Are you ready to travel? Well it wont be long before the doors of travel will open up again and when they do we are primed and ready to serve all your travel needs. Have the Stay at Home Order's Got You Ready to Travel? by Corey Grant - Travel Agent - March 19, 2020April 30, 20200

Many of Bookit.com's travelers are taking to social media about the online travel company leaving complaints that they’ve gone out of business and left their customers stranded. Now this is highly unfortunate for those customers that have been affected but honestly Bookit has been one of those companies that I have warned travelers about for years when they would say "oh I can find it way cheaper on this site". Bookit.com is trying to blame their collapse on the COVID-19 crisis but anyone that professionally books travel knows that those hotel rooms and resorts should have been paid for in full at the time of booking so the horror story of people paying for those "cheap trips" and then arriving

By Ian Duncan and Michael Laris March 17, 2020 at 8:17 p.m. EDT The air traffic control tower at Chicago’s Midway airport was temporarily closed Tuesday after several technicians tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The agency said operations would continue at reduced levels. A ground stop — an order halting flights from taking off from or departing for the airport — was issued just after 5 p.m. Tuesday but was lifted soon after. “The air traffic system is a resilient system with multiple backups in place,” the agency said in a statement. “This shift is a regular execution of a long-standing contingency plan to ensure continued operations. Each facility across the country has a similar plan that has been updated and tested
